San Francisco to Santa Cruz

While home my last break, my road dog Graveyard and I made a pretty radical adventure up to Nor Cal.  We started in San Franciso and made our way down to Santa Cruz from there.  Both cities were amazing and had a totally unique vibe to them.  After we shredded SF and SC we made the drive down the coast to LA.  The drive through Big Sur was amazing, the coast was never-ending beauty, some stuff I never really thought the U.S. could offer in terms of scenery.  I knew it would be pretty epic, but that coastline is something you really have to see for yourself, pictures don't do it justice.  So anyways.. below are some of the shots I took from SF to SC and the drive down to LA.

Dubai

On my way back to the states from my last trip to Afghanistan I got to stop in Dubai for a quick layover.  Brad Kirr, the man behind the amazing Tashkeel ramp at the Tashkeel Hub in Dubai, was awesome enough to host me for a few days while I was there.  I got a few runs in on the ramp, although I nearly fainted in about 15 minutes from heat exhaustion.

I went out and about and did the tourist thing while I was there - these are a few of the shots from my short trip around Dubai.

Parsa Hike

A few weeks back, the homies over at Parsa invited us over for a hike up the side of this small mountain (big hill?) they live next to.  They have a really rad brunch there every Friday, and before the brunch we took a hike through a small village and up the hill to the top where there is a cell phone tower.  It was a pretty sick view - you could see all over Kabul.  We had the company of a pretty rad dog that followed us up for most of the way, then some local boys joined us from the village up to the top.  We also came across some dude who had a really messed up looking dog that he dragged (literally) to the top of the hill. This thing was on it's last limb and I'm not sure how it even made it to the top.  When we got up there he walked the dog into the distance and just tied it to a rock - there's a good chance he was just leaving it there to die I guess.  Anyways, it was a cool hike - shout out to the dudes at Parsa for hooking it up.
